This remedial program consists of 10 weeks of intensive including clinical hours to satisfy the Florida Board of Nursing NCLEX PN/RN remedial requirements. The theory is done online; however, a portion of the program is done in medical facilities and in simulation labs.
This remedial program consists of 8- weeks of intensive prepping for the NCLEX PN/RN.
In as few as 6-months, graduates of the program can seek career opportunities as psychiatric aides or psychiatric technicians as well as mental health technicians. These healthcare professionals can work as Mental Health Technicians in psychiatric hospitals, community mental health clinics, partial hospitalization programs, and other mental health facilities. The graduates will be encouraged to write the Certification Exam from the American Association of Psychiatric Technicians. Voluntary certification gives Psychiatric Technicians a way to gain recognition as paraprofessionals and display competency as well as the legitimate right to participate as members of mental health treatment teams.
